About Mr. Richards

Hello! This section is dedicated to me and my journey to teaching. If you want to know what makes me the way I am, then read on!

I am a 2013 graduate of the University of Louisville with a Bachelors in secondary education. This is my sixth year at duPont Manual and I have loved every minute of it. I am currently in the Air Force Reserves stationed out of Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. I have been in the Air Force for 14 years, including 4 years of active duty, and multiple years overseas. The military has taught me to live life to the fullest, and treat every day like it is your last; I try to carry this philosophy into my classroom.

I have a 7 year old son, Noah. I never thought I could feel so concerned and protective of anything, so I understand why parents want the best for their children, and I am here to make sure it happens.

When I'm not spending time with my son, planning, grading or studying, I'm playing some kind of sport, mostly basketball. I love to have fun and try to bring humor into any situation. Laughter is the best medicine and you will laugh in my class, either with me, or at me!

I am thankful that I get to wake up everyday and want to go to work. The staff, administration and most of all, the students make duPont Manual the best place in the state to work, and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. GO RAMS!
